Behind Every Fierce Woman Is a Father Worth Celebrating: A Father’s Day Tribute from The Melinda Lynch Team

This Father’s Day, the women of The Melinda Lynch Team are celebrating the dads and father figures who inspire, support, and love them—and the incredible husbands who are raising the next generation with heart and humor.

They say it takes a village—and in real estate, that village is often powered by snacks, coffee, and a lot of behind-the-scenes love from the men who keep our worlds grounded while we’re out here making deals, guiding clients, and building dreams.

This Father’s Day, we’re taking a break from open houses and contract negotiations to raise a glass (and probably a juice box or two) to the fathers and husbands who love us, support us, and show our children what strength, kindness, and loyalty really look like.

This Father’s Day, I’m reflecting on the man who taught me some of life’s most powerful lessons. My dad was the one who held my hand when I needed protection, encouraged me to stand tall when life got tough, and showed me what family truly means—which might explain why I’ve always been drawn to the idea of a big, loving family of my own.

He reminded me to chase my dreams with boldness and to never apologize for going after what lights me up. That same sense of conviction and care is what I now bring to my clients—because when someone believes in you that deeply, you learn to show up for others in the same way.

If you know me, you know my husband is basically a superhero in boots. Between juggling our landscaping business, pool installs, and investment properties—he still finds time to be “fun dad” to our eight amazing kids. Yes, eight. 

He builds castles out of cardboard, grills like a champ, and somehow always has energy for bedtime stories. I couldn’t do what I do in real estate without his constant encouragement and dad-joke commentary. He’s the calm to my chaos—and Father’s Day is just one more excuse to make sure he knows how appreciated he is.

Nicholas, my husband, is the kind of father every child should be blessed with. He’s a source of wisdom, laughter, and unconditional love for our kiddos, Indiana and Daisy. He sings silly songs, lets them wear crowns to breakfast, and grounds our family in faith and grace.

Whether it’s late-night snack duty or Sunday morning church wrangling, he shows up fully and with heart. Watching him be a father has only deepened my love for him—and my gratitude. He’s the rock behind our little circus, and we are so lucky to call him ours.

This Father’s Day, I’m filled with gratitude for the two incredible men who have shaped—and continue to shape—my journey.

First, my father. From the very beginning, he has been my greatest encourager, standing firmly beside me through every bold decision, every risk, and every new chapter. His quiet strength and belief in empowering women—through action, not just words—has been a guiding force in my life. No matter my age, career choice, or direction, his support never wavered. Because of him, I learned how to lead with purpose, resilience, and grace.

And then there’s my husband—the adventurous heart of our family. He brings joy and spontaneity into our lives in the most effortless ways. Somehow, he’s always the kids’ favorite (and yes, I’m a little jealous!). His constant love, laughter, and steady presence allow me the space to grow my business with confidence and ambition. I’m able to show up for my clients and my career because he shows up so fully for us.

To these two amazing men: thank you for being the kind of fathers who inspire, support, and uplift. I am endlessly thankful.

My dad passed away when I was just five years old, but in that short time, he made an everlasting impression. I watched him be a warm and devoted husband, a playful and joy-filled friend, a gentle pastor grounded in integrity, and a shining example of what fatherhood should be. Though I carry the sadness of his absence, I feel overwhelming gratitude to be his daughter and to have been shaped by his love.

And then there’s Devon—my partner in love, parenting, and spontaneous karaoke duets. He has been the most incredible bonus dad to my boys, and the kind of man who dances in the kitchen, holds space during hard moments, and never complains when I sneak one more client call in at dinner time. He’s my best friend, and our family is stronger because of him.

Bottom Line:

Behind every successful woman is a team cheering her on—and for us, that includes the incredible fathers and father figures who help us build not just careers, but lives full of love and laughter.
